Previously the Manager of Communications and Marketing, Sam currently works as the Digital Communications Coordinator after recently beginning her travels internationally – which is very much thanks to the flexibility of being able to work remotely following the COVID-19 pandemic and highlights the progressiveness and support GWH are able to provide their staff in achieving quality work-life balance.

Sam’s communications and marketing career began in Melbourne, with the early years spent at Myer and The Walt Disney Company, before embarking on almost a year of solo travel before returning to Gippsland. Now, after making the shift to working in the health promotion area, Sam takes pride in being able to work on meaningful projects and campaigns that align with her drive for achieving gender equality, working with a team full of fun and creative women, and improving the health and wellbeing of women in Gippsland.

In her spare time, Sam is a self-taught photographer which was a skill developed from her solo travels to Japan and Europe over the past years. In the year to come, Sam will continue travelling and working remotely, with the adventure starting in her mother’s home country – the Philippines.
