Dr Julia Heslop is an accomplished energy sector leader with a background in chemistry and extensive experience in power plant operations management, cyber security, coaching and mentoring.
Julia holds a BSc, DPhil and MBA and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Julia is a current serving member of the Bairnsdale Rowing Club and was previously a Director for the Energy Australian Ecogen subsidiary Board.
She has worked alongside GWH on gender equity initiatives in the energy sector, including mentoring through the Women in Energy program, and is a strong advocate for advancing gender equity in male-dominated industries.
Julia brings expertise in strategic leadership, operational management, risk management, governance and compliance, combined with a proven ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and drive collaboration. Julia is passionate about supporting GWH’s mission and is committed to applying her industry and governance skills to help advance its strategic goals.
Julia is passionate about advancing gender equity, particularly in workplaces where women are often underrepresented. Julia would like to use her experience in a male-dominated industry to help GWH advance its strategic goals and support continuous improvement in governance
