Emily Harris has been a member of the GWH Board since 2021 and became the Board Chair in 2023.
Emily cares deeply about the lives of regional women and their interactions with the health care system. She has a Master’s in Public Health and loves using this knowledge with her passion for health literacy, advocacy for informed and person centred decision making, and creating physical environments that are more inclusive, safe and accessible to all.
Gippsland Women’s Health acknowledges Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people as the Traditional Owners and Custodians of country and pay our respects to Elders past and present for they hold the stories, traditions and culture.
We acknowledge the Gunaikurnai and Bunurong as the Traditional Custodians of the land and waters now known as Gippsland and acknowledge that they have never ceded sovereignty. We recognise the Gunaikurnai and Bunurong long and continued connection and protection of the beautiful coastline from the oceans through in land areas to the rugged southern slopes of the mountain ranges.
